Vintage 2016 - Earth, briary blackberries, anise, sweet raspberry. It's a tried and true formula for Torbeck but it works. The alcohol is high but the finish remains fresh; it almost feels refreshing. Chocolate and dried date character add to the impression of power.

Vintage 2016 - A rich, luscious shiraz that successfully pushes the limits of ripeness without any overcooked influences and still manages to retain a hint of Rhôney shape and style. Backed by nuances of baked earth and a hint of stalkiness, it’s musky and deeply perfumed, with dense aromas of mulberries, cassis, dark plums and redcurrants lifted by spicy notes of cracked pepper and a sweet floral aspect. It’s full to medium-bodied, smooth and succulent, with a deep, layered presence of black and red berry fruit wrapped in velvety tannins, tight-grained cedary oak plus a refreshing acidity.
