Special bottling. Fruit is from the contour planted bush vine vineyard, replanted in 1958 with cuttings from the original vineyard (planted late 1800’s). Robust, muscular and bound up on opening, however the length of flavour showed the pedigree of the vineyard. After a sleep, this had oodles of raspberry, aniseed, pepper and spice and it continued to silk out over the coming days. Needs a decant if you insist on drinking it on opening night.
