Nanny Goat Vineyard Pinot Noir 2019
Named after the wild goats that roam the mountainous terrain of Central Otago, Pinot Noir is a fickle varietal that demands the utmost attention both in the vineyard and in the winery. Its true potential is beautifully evident on this 2018 vintage release.
The nose is dense and intriguing, with layered black and blue berry fruits, toasted spice, cola and an ethereal floral lift. The plush and velvety palate is brimming with wild berries, currants, lightly roasted coffee beans and just a hint of sweet baking spice. A streak of fine acidity blending seamlessly with powdery fine tannins lift the palate towards the elegant finish.
