        In 1758, the King of Spain gave a plot of land in Mexico to José Maria Guadalupe de Cuervo to allow him to start his own agave plantation. And so was born Jose Cuervo Reposado(“rested”) Tequila, its eye-catching rich golden colour the result of extended ageing in oak barrels, which also gives Cuervo Gold its depth of flavour and strong yet smooth finish.
