Grosset Polish Hill Riesling 2019
One of Tyson Stelzer’s ‘2018 Top Nine Australian White Wines Under $100’, this outstanding AOC-certified organic wine boasts purity in winemaking with zero fining agents – perfect for vegetarians and vegans. The one for all Riesling aficionados, it is drinking beautifully now for fans of Polish Hill’s famed youthful and restrained style; but for those with patience, time in the cellar will ultimately reward.
A fresh bouquet reveals hint of talc, Provençal lavender and vibrant herbaceous aromatics while the intense mid-palate features pure lime juice flavours, a hint of lemon pith and stunning minerality. An outstanding bone dry-style with persistent length, this 97-point-rated wine is “a powerful, intense wine from an exceptional year in Clare” (Ray Jordan).

Vintage 2015 - The coy, youthfully mute 2015 Riesling Polish Hill has a mineral and wet pebble laced nose over notes of lime leaves, yuzu and green mango. The dry, light-bodied palate is positively charged with electric citrus fruit that carries straight through the very, very long finish. It really needs 4-5 years in bottle before it enters its drinking window. Drink 2020-2030.
