SISTERS Marika and Elizabeth Enderle of Lochinvar's St Helena Restaurant, have been honoured in France with a top award for their services to art, hospitality, wine and fine food.
In what is believed to be a world first, the sisters are now noble knights of Tastevin, an honour also bestowed upon their late father John in 1997.It is understood this is the first time three members of the one family have been honoured as Confrerie des Chevaliers de Tastevin, which means Brotherhood of Knights of Wine-Tasting Cups.Founded in 1703 as the Ordre de la Boisson (Order of the Drink), and resurrected under its current name in 1934, Confrerie des Chevaliers de Tastevin is an exclusive club of Burgundy wine enthusiasts.- Donna Sharpe
