FUNERALS for the two men killed in the Drayton's Family Wine explosion at Pokolbin will be held tomorrow and Friday.

Trevor Drayton will be farewelled at 10am tomorrow in St Joseph's Catholic Church, Cessnock, before his burial at Cessnock Cemetery, Nulkaba.

The funeral of boilermaker Eddie Orgo, who was also killed in the blast, will be held on Friday at 10am in St Paul's Anglican Church, Kurri Kurri.

A private cremation will follow.

The only survivor of last Thursday's explosion, William Rikard-Bell of Singleton, was reported to be in a stable condition in Concord Repatriation Hospital in Sydney late yesterday.

The men were working in a shed at the Oakey Creek Road winery when the blast occurred. The explosion blew off the winery's corrugated iron roof and sent out a fireball that burned grass 50 metres away.

Investigations into the incident are still being carried out by Lower Hunter Police and the coroner.

A vat at the site of the explosion was to be moved by WorkCover but the discovery of nearby asbestos has delayed the move.

The cause of the blast has not been officially confirmed.
